Our story began in the summer of 2023 when three friends—Jester, Divya, and Vishwanathan—decided to turn their love for Kanyakumari and its culinary heritage into something special.
With over 10 years of digital marketing experience under his belt, Jester had spent years helping businesses grow online, all while running a popular Kanyakumari-themed meme page in the UAE. His passion for the local flavors and culture of his hometown never wavered, and he knew it was time to take the next step—sharing these beloved tastes with the world.
Divya, Jester’s loving wife and partner in crime, brought her own set of skills to the table. With over 5 years of experience in digital marketing in the financial and insurance sectors, she knew a thing or two about driving success in competitive markets.
Her curiosity and commitment to learning, combined with her new role as a parent, made her the perfect complement to Jester’s big ideas.
And then there’s Viswanathan, an entrepreneur through and through, who had already made a name for himself with his brand En Chipsu.
Viswa had a knack for bringing Nagercoil’s authentic snacks to the forefront. He and Jester had already built a strong connection through their shared passion for food, having worked together on optimizing ad campaigns for Enchipsu.
As fate would have it, when Jester and Divya moved back to Kanyakumari while expecting their first child, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Their shared love for their hometown and its delicious, authentic flavors, combined with Vishwanathan’s hands-on experience in building a successful food brand, paved the way for Purely South to be born.
